Forget the drama of trying to get a group to agree on flight times, budgets and accomm – flying solo has never been more popular. In fact, according to new research by Hostelworld, the number of female solo bookings has risen by 45 per cent in the past three years alone.
In data shared with Refinery29, Hostelworld revealed the 10 most popular travel hotspots for women travelling on their own, with Cuba coming in at the top spot. Remarkably, the Caribbean island saw a 406 per cent rise in solo bookings between 2016 and 2017.
