Sex And The City was a show that dazzled fans around the world with its daring fashion and honest storylines. While dedicated fans might be tracking the careers of main cast members, one important actor has gone unnoticed.
That’s right, little Brady Hobbes—the son of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Steve (David Eigenberg).
The actor who played Hobbes’ son was Joseph Pupo, and now 17 years on, the red-haired actor has resurfaced as a teenager.
In 2021, Pupo did a satirical interview with The Battery Company. In it, he admitted that he no longer watches reruns of the iconic show.
Although the child star has not returned to acting since his role in the Sex And The City sequel film, he reveals that he is auditioning for his school play. Check it out below!
Who plays Brady Hobbes in And Just Like That?
Pupo’s former role as Brady Hobbes has since been filled by another actor, Niall Cunningham.
The 28-year-old plays the teenage version of Miranda and Steve’s son, and appeared in 2021 on the red carpet with his on-screen parents at the NYC premiere of the show.
We have to say, he’s strikingly similar to Pupo!
Brady’s storyline is ramping up in season two of And Just Like That, letting Niall show-off his ample acting chops. He is dumped in Europe by his season one girlfriend, and is now tackling therapy with his newly-separated parents.
Niall’s TV mum, Cynthia Nixon, took to Instagram to celebrate his role in the season, posting a sweet behind-the-scenes pic, captioned: “Always be my Brady!! 💜💛 “
This is Cunningham’s second major role, having previously starred in sitcom Life In Pieces opposite Josh Brolin and Colin Hanks. He’s had guest roles in Poker Face and Curb Your Enthusiasm, as well as the Netflix hit film Okja.
As for what’s on the horizon for the newest Brady Hobbes actor, it’s And Just Like That… for now, but we wager it’s not all.
