It’s no surprise that ‘The Firm’ has been extremely tight lipped since the very public ousting of Prince Harry and Meghan from the marital home they were gifted, Frogmore Cottage.
As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare to move the last of their things out of their old home, rumours are simultaneously flying that the five-bedroom house on the grounds at Windsor could be given to Prince Andrew.
Andrew’s current housemate is his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, with the pair sharing the 30-room ‘Royal Lodge’ at Windsor. Now, Ferguson has broken her silence on the matter of ‘Haz’ and ‘Meg’s ‘Megviction’.
In an interview with People magazine, the Duchess said she would do ‘whatever it takes’ to support the new King and Queen Consort in their roles.
She is very much looking forward to the upcoming ceremony and celebration of his coronation. “I think it’s very British, and it’s very exciting. I love the institution of monarchy, and I believe in upholding the institution,” she said.
However, she was not afraid to weigh into the Harry and Meghan discussion either, showing her support for the couple despite the apparent rift in the family.
“I don’t believe that any single person has the right to judge another person. I’m not in a position myself to make any judgments,” she told People.
“I have been judged all my life, and I have no judgment on the Sussexes.”
The Duchess, who has been entrusted with the Queen’s last corgis (Sandy and Muick), reflected on the women in the family that have passed, including Princess Diana.
“I think that [Princess] Diana would be incredibly proud of her grandchildren,” she explained. “And not just the Sussex grandchildren, but Will’s children,” she said, regarding Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, who are the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan appeared unbothered about the mounting news reports of their ousting and potential lack of invite to Harry’s own father’s coronation.
In images obtained exclusively by Page Six the couple were spotted out on a date night in Hollywood, with Meghan snugged up in an oversized camel-coloured coat and heels, while Harry rocked a wool blazer and jeans.
They were all smiles as they headed into the private club, putting on a united front despite the family drama.
