Congratulations are in order for Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend of 11 months, property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozz who are set to be married. The eldest daughter of the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, announced the engagement this morning via a statement from Buckingham Palace.
“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
“Her Royal Highness and Mr Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020.”
Beatrice then took to Twitter to write a more informal tweet, alongside a photo of the pair. “I’m so excited to announce my engagement to Edo,” she wrote.
Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie, who wed at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in October 2018, posted her congratulations on Instagram, saying: “Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be. (camera emoji) by me!! “
