Producers of The Crown won’t grow short of material for upcoming seasons, as Buckingham Palace continues to reign the headlines this week from Prince Andrew’s surprise departure from royal duties to the Duchess of Sussex’s ongoing legal battle.
Now, the spotlight has shifted to focus on the alleged rift between Prince Harry and Prince William once more with reports that there are a lot of “unresolved issues” between the brothers.

According to People, tension between the royal duo has worsened in recent weeks amid news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are eschewing Christmas with the Windsor family at Sandringham in favour of Los Angeles.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month,” the statement read.
“Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland. This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the royal family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen.”
Rumours of tension between the brothers first emerged back in June when the Sussexes split from the Royal Foundation, a charity organisation previously shared with the Cambridges.
The controversial household divide came shortly after Harry and Meghan moved out of Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before founding their own charity organisation, Sussex Royal.

In a surprise turn of events, Prince Harry addressed the alleged rift for the first time during ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.
The new father then went on to admit that although the brothers don’t see each other as often due to their clashing work schedules, they still share a close bond.
“We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy, but I love him dearly and the majority of stuff is created out of nothing,” he said. “As brothers, you have good days and you have bad days.”
But according to new reports, the brothers still have a long way to go.
“There is a lot of hurt and a lot of unresolved issues between the boys and no one to help mediate,” a royal source told the US publication. “Petty grievances can become huge conflicts between all the different royal offices if they aren’t managed correctly, and that’s exactly what’s happening now.”
Change in their relationship is inevitable too, as the brothers have different roles within The Firm.
“William is the future King. There is going to be some competitiveness between him and Harry,” the source continues. “That already puts a rock in the relationship.”
