In case you missed it, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they’re expecting their first child together, due in spring 2019. Which also marks one year since their royal wedding when the 37-year-old officially become The Duchess of Sussex.
While Prince Harry and Meghan are in Syndey for their 16-day tour of Australia, the Royal family has publically congratulated the couple on the happy news.
The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, and Kate are all “delighted” for the couple, the Palace said, via People.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland also issued a statement via Kensington Palace, which said, “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
The official announcement follows speculation that Markle, 37, was hiding a growing baby bump beneath her Givenchy coat at Princess Eugenie’s wedding on October 12th. According to the Daily Mail, Meghan and Harry shared their baby news with the Windsor clan in person following the ceremony.
