It’s always exciting when a group of Australian actors join forces for new film or TV series, especially when the filming also takes place in the country—which is exactly what we can expect from the new Stan Original Series, Prosper.
The highly anticipated series sees Rake star Richard Roxburgh play a global pastor and founder of a megachurch, with Rebecca Gibney taking on the role of his wife and worship leader. If that isn’t enough to get you interested, the series also follows the couple’s children in a Succession-style family drama.

What Is Prosper About?
Prosper follows the Quinn family—the founding family behind an evangelical megachurch called U Star.
When the show begins, the Quinns, who are based in Sydney, are “poised on the precipice of a lucrative American expansion” and “about to catapult into a whole new stratosphere of wealth and unchecked power.”
However, while preaching “faith, love and acceptance” to their thousands of followers, the Quinns are also hiding “shameful” secrets and are “bound together by unfathomable wealth and unchecked power as they build an evangelical megachurch hell-bent on global domination”
Basically, things are about to get very interesting for the family.

Prosper doesn’t only star Australian acting legends, Richard Roxburgh and Rebecca Gibney as the powerful Quinn couple, but an all star cast of acting talent.

Where Was Prosper Filmed?
While the exact list of filming locations haven’t been released yet, we know that the majority of the filming took place in Sydney—which means we’re going to be keeping an eye out for all of our favourite haunts.
When Will ‘Prosper’ Be Released?
Prosper will be released in 2024 on Stan.
