Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o have apparently gone ‘official’ with their relationship, after being sighted on a holiday to Mexico.
The couple were reportedly packing on the PDA while celebrating Lupita’s 41st birthday.
In photos obtained by E! News, the couple held hands and got up-close while at the beach in Puerto Vallarta. These latest pics come five months after speculation of the pair’s coupledom began.
The first hint was a different PDA-filled outing in December 2023.
Their union came months after Joshua and his ex-wife Jodie Turner Smith called it quits on their four-year marriage. The former couple, who share a daughter, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, aged 3, filed for divorce in early October, citing irreconcilable differences as cause for the split.
But as we know, Hollywood moves quickly, and new relationships are no exception, with Joshua, 45, and Lupita, 40, appearing to take their relationship from platonic to romantic over the weekend.

October 18, 2023: Joshua and Lupita Split From Their Partners
Just two weeks after announcing his divorce from Jodie, Joshua was spotted by TMZ with Lupita at a Janelle Monae concert in Inglewood, California. The duo were accompanied by a group of friends and, at the time, the outing was believed to be nothing more than platonic.
Earlier that same day however, Lupita took to Instagram to confirm her split from musician and sports commentator Selema Masekela, after nearly a year together.
“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception,” she wrote to Instagram.
“I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass.”
December 5, 2023: Joshua and Lupita Cuddle Up In California
Nearly two months after their first sighting together, Joshua and Lupita were spotted on a loved-up errands run in Joshua Tree, California.
The pair looked comfortable with each other as they walked hand-in-hand, chatting as they went. They both cut a casual figure for the occassion, with Lupita donning a T-shirt that read ‘It’s Okay To Cry’ and a neon green beanie, and Joshua in loose courduroy pants and a white shirt.
While neither Joshua nor Lupita have commented publically on the rumours, if these new photos are anything to go buy, we expect to see a lot more of these two in the near future.
March 3, 2024: Joshua and Lupita Go To Mexico On Romantic Holiday
Months after their first paparazzi-scooped outing, Joshua and Lupita were seen together again — which many have taken as confirmation they are an item.
The two holidayed in Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta, where E! News obtained photographs of them taking a romantic stroll and swim at the beach.
The two held hands while walking and reportedly shared a passionate kiss, according to the media outlet.
Meanwhile, E! News also reports that Jackson celebrated Lupita’s 41st birthday with a ” large balloon display and a stunning bouquet of flowers set up in their hotel suite”.
