Last night’s finale of The Bachelorette left Australia mourning for Timm Hanly, who is such an angel that he literally comforted a crying Angie Kent as she dumped him for Carlin Sterritt.
After hearing the final verdict, Timm said that as he approached Angie, he “could see in her eyes” there was a “but” coming after she said she feels as though they are soulmates.
“You were such a surprise,” Angie began. “You’re the person who makes me laugh all the time and I feel like you’re my soulmate. I do. I love so much about you. I love everything that we’ve had and a piece of me is, like, I can’t picture my life without you. She then broke down crying as she said, “but I think a part of me,” before choking back tears and falling into Timm’s chest.
“I’ve cherished every moment with you. I love Carlin,” Timm responded, saying, “If I could pick anyone to put you with it’s him … don’t be sad, don’t cry.”
As he walked away, Timm said, “F**k. F**k. That sucks, I can’t even understand it. She was my soulmate. But I knew … I was just waiting for the ‘but’. I could see it in her eyes. I knew straight away when I looked at her. That’s why I had my walls up – for that exact reason. That’s why I didn’t want to go all in – this exact feeling right now is why I didn’t want to go all in. I’m never talking about my feelings ever again.”
He hasn’t yet addressed the episode on Instagram, but both Angie and Carlin have posted professing their love for one another. Here’s hoping we see Timm again on either The Bachelor or Bachelor in Paradise.
