It turns out, Priyanka Chopra has a love for certain Australian heartthrobs which makes her more relatable than ever before.
On Netflix’s Jonas Brothers Family Roast, which aired on the streaming giant on November 23, Priyanka indulged in a bit of fantasising when talking about how she wouldn’t want to be married to anyone other than Nick Jonas, except for perhaps Chris Hemsworth.
“Seriously, though, I do want to talk about how much I love my husband and what I love about him,” Priyanka said, as per Insider. “One of the things I love about my husband is how much we have in common. For instance, we’re both totally, completely, wholly obsessed—and I mean obsessed—with Nick Jonas. We love Nick Jonas, both of us. He’s our favourite.”
“Like, I know this is a roast, and you all think I should be going after them, but I think we need to set the record straight here. No, the rings weren’t a good idea. Yes, as a gesture, they’re laughably, toe-curlingly lame.”
Sophie continued, “But remember—this was about more than a gesture: This was about faith. This was about principle. This was about taking a stand and setting an example. Look, Joe Jonas wasn’t just sticking his fingers in some dumb metal rings. He was sticking his fingers in costars, actresses, and even a supermodel or two.”
As for Chris, most notable for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has been married to Spanish model and actor Elsa Pataky since 2010, and the pair live with their three children in Australia.
Recently, rumours began to circulate that the pair had split after Priyanka removed ‘Jonas’ from her Instagram name, prompting a wave of speculation that she and Nick were about to announce a divorce.
However, Priyanka seemed to put the rumours to rest by commenting on a video of her husband lifting weights in the gym.
“Damn! I just died in your arms…” she wrote, along with a series of loved-up emojis.
Priyanka and Nick also had their first star-studded Diwali in their home together, throwing a party where friends and family alike danced “the night away”.
“Our first diwali in our first home together. This one will always be special,” she wrote in a caption, alongside a series of photos on Instagram.
Priyanka can be seen in a cream, ornate ensemble with a sheer saree, while Nick stands behind her in a traditional kurta with matching pants.
For Nick and Priyanka, the pair first began dating back in 2017 after attending the Met Gala together. Apparently, the pair were engaged after two months of dating and wed by December 2018 with two glamorous ceremonies—and a six-metre wedding dress train.
As for split speculation, the pair clearly look incredibly happy together, which means we get priority over a potentially single Hemsworth.
