If there’s one thing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton have made very clear: when it comes to the persistent cheating rumours, we shouldn’t expect a comment any time soon. Nonetheless, the Duke’s alleged mistress Rose Hanbury has apparently just reacted to the report – well, sort of.
Taking cues from the Royals, Rose is speaking to the press about anything but the rumours. As U.K. publication Tatler reports, Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, and her husband David Rocksavage, are opening their home up to the public in the name of art – hosting an exhibition at their residence Houghton Hall this summer. It’s a rather surprising move for Rose and David to draw attention to their private world at such time and under such intense media scrutiny. Unless they’re sending a clear yet coded message: they have nothing to hide.
Here’s a quick refresher in the royal drama. According to t The Sun, the Duchess of Cambridge and Rose’s friendship has recently soured with Kate seeing her as a “rural rival” and wanting her “phased out” of their close-knit country clan. Sources allegedly claimed the friend’s rift was so bad, Prince William tried to step in to “try to broker peace”.
