Paris Jackson has asked her fans to stop editing one of her many beautiful features, her skin tone.
The 19-year-old Chanel ambassador started by thanking her 1.36 million Twitter followers for their support. โI appreciate everything yโall make for me, i enjoy every single edit i see,โ she wrote.
Paris continued by requesting her fans respect her natural features and stop altering her appearance. โPlease stop lightening my skin to make me look more white. and please stop darkening my skin to make me look more mixed. i am what i am. iโm aware of what i look like and i finally happy with it..โ
Paris has previously spoken about her cultural identity to Rolling Stone, explaining that she does not define who she is by her skinโs colouring. โI consider myself black,โ she shared, adding that her late father Michael Jackson, โwould look me in the eyes and heโd point his finger at me and heโd be like, โYouโre black. Be proud of your roots.โ And Iโd be like, โOK, heโs my dad, why would he lie to me?โ So I just believe what he told me, โcause, to my knowledge, heโs never lied to me.โ

Paris later made sure her fans knew that her Tweet was not about โpleadingโ or โshamingโ but about promoting body positivity and self-acceptance.
