The finale of The Bachelorette is looming with just three contestants left for Angie to choose from – Timm, Carlin and Ryan – and non-stop rumours about who’ll be the last man standing. Current bets are on Timm thanks to this age old theory, but honestly, I’m not so sure. For starters, when has this thing ever gone the way we hoped?
But it turns out, one very important man will be missing from the season finale (other than Ciarran Stott, of course): iconic Bachie host, Osher Gunsberg.
Now, Osher wouldn’t miss the dramatic finale for nothing. In fact, he had possibly the best reason possible for skipping out on the pre-taped finale: his wife Audrey Griffen was in labour with their first child.
Speaking with The Sunday Telegraph, Osher explained that Audrey was having contractions seven minutes apart during the final days of filming and that she could give birth at “any minute”.
“I was getting nervous while hanging around the mansion and my executive producer … took one look at me and said, ‘Osh, you can’t miss this. It will be the best day of your life, don’t worry we will make it happen,’” he explained.
Osher went on to say that the production team “banded together” to figure out a way for the show to work without him there, but that it was “odd” to miss the occasion. “It is the moment they go off into the wild, and I really like to give them a hug and tell them I am happy for them,” he said. “But I am sure I will catch up with everyone once the outcome is out there.”
