Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup have tied the knot for the second time.
A year after their New York courthouse wedding, the couple have celebrated with a grand celebration in Mexico City.
Their story is particularly sweet, having connected while playing on-screen husband and wife on Netflix’s Gypsy.

June 2024: Married For The Second Time
Crudup and Watts tie the knot for a second time in Mexico City.
The second wedding saw both Watt’s and Crudup’s children playing a larger part in the ceremony, with Crudup’s son William walking down the aisle with his dad and Watt’s daughter Kai being a bridesmaid, and her son Sasha walking her down the aisle.
June 2023: Naomi And Billy Get Married For The First Time
Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Watts shared a photo of the happy couple on the courthouse steps, with the caption, “Hitched”.
Watts wore a lace Oscar De La Renta dress and carried a bouquet of white flowers “from the deli”, she shared on Instagram. Meanwhile, Crudup donned a navy suit and white button-up.
Watts and Crudup have been dating since 2018 after starring as husband and wife in the Netflix series, Gypsy.
The pair’s low-key nuptials did not include many of their celebrity inner circle, with famous friends jumping on Instagram to share congratulations.
Noted bestie, Nicole Kidman, wrote on Watts’ Instagram: “So So happy for you both, Love you Nai – you did it!”
Meanwhile, other pals Michelle Pfeiffer, Reese Witherspoon, Chloe Sevigny, Miranda Kerr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson also chimed in with well wishes.
“Woohoo!!! So happy for y’all!!” wrote Witherspoon (who stars alongside Crudup in Morning Wars), while Paltrow went with a “Yipeeeeeee!!!! Sending so much love!!”
Hudson, who played opposite Crudup in Almost Famous, wrote: “Ah!!!! Congrats! Love you”
Meanwhile, Watts’ first husband, Liev Schreiber, also shared a big congratulations for his ex wife.
“Congratulations!!! Gorgeous!!!” the actor commented on the post.
Watts and Schreiber divorced in 2016 after nine years of marriage, and continue to co-parent two children.
While this is Crudup’s first wedding, the actor has had a couple of high-profile relationships with actresses Mary Louise-Parker and Claire Danes.

In April 2023, Watts was seen walking around New York city with a diamond ring on her left finger.

After almost five years of dating, Watts and Crudup made their red carpet debut at the 2022 Sag Awards.
2020: Billy Thanks Naomi At The Critics’ Choice Awards
At the 25th Critics Choice Awards, Crudup thanks Naomi in his speech after winning best supporting actor for his part on The Morning Show.
After thanking co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, Crudup says, ” “Thanks to them and … my son and my friends and family and Naomi and everybody, so thanks a lot.”
This was the first time Crudup had publicly mentioned his relationship with Watts.

The couple make their official debut at Vogue’s BAFTAs afterparty in London, where they were seen holding hands.
2017: Dating Rumours Start
Months after Gypsy filming has wrapped up, the couple are spotted getting lunch in New York city, fuelling dating rumours.
Despite speculation, Watts tells Vogue Australia that she’s single.
“I mean, I’m single, I’m co-parenting. I’m doing okay,” she tells the publication.
However, a couple of months later, a source tells People that the couple are in fact dating.
2016: They Reunite On The Set Of Gypsy
In September 2016, Watts and Crudup begin filming the Netflix series, Gypsy, that sees the pair star as husband and wife.
2009: They Meet At A Broadway Benefit
The pair first met in 2009, when they both took part in the 24 Hour Plays on Broadway benefit.
At the time, Crudup was single but Naomi was dating Liev Schreiber, who she shares two children with.
While nothing romantic was going to happen until years later, the pair’s connection was evident in their first photograph together.
