Nadia Bartel has made her first red carpet appearance since news of her split from husband, ex AFL player Jimmy Bartel, went public. The 34-year-old mother-of-two arrived at the 2019 Brownlow Medal wearing a stunning strapless dress by her wedding dress designer, J’Aton, which features a thigh-high split, long train and sparkly embellishments all over.
Nadia, who is hosting the event coverage, took to Instagram ahead of the evening to share her look with followers, writing, “When @jatoncouture creates magic ✨”
Friends such as Jodi Anasta and Phoebe Burgess quickly commented on the post in support of Nadia, with Jodi writing, “You’re INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️” and Phoebe saying simply, “Soooo beautiful.”
Of course, Nadia has been in the headlines recently due to the breakdown of her marriage, which is reportedly because of her husband’s affair with a woman who is based in the UK. The pair share two sons, Aston, 3, and Henley, 9-months. Reports first surfaced of the split after the two abruptly unfollowed each other on Instagram and speaking to The Herald Sun recently, Nadia said she is “heartbroken.”
“Although I’m heartbroken, I don’t want to comment specifically on what’s been reported about Jim’s trip to the UK as I don’t think that is in anyone’s interests,” she told the publication.
“It’s been a very difficult month for me and the boys,” she said. “My single focus now is to continue to protect, care and provide for my two beautiful boys as this is a personal matter. I am so thankful for my very supportive family and friends.”
