As the royal wedding draws closer – highlight May 19 in your calendar – people are starting to speculate about where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will spend their first few days as newlyweds.
Naturally, Botswana, where the loved-up pair first holidayed and where Harry sourced two of Meghan’s engagement ring diamonds from, is high on the list, but another honeymoon contender is Nevis in the Caribbean.
“As it is one of the most romantic islands in the world, we are quietly confident that Nevis’ guaranteed privacy will attract the royal newlyweds,” the island’s Tourism Authority CEO, Greg Phillip, said of the royal rumours.
This wouldn’t be the first time Harry has visited the island, either. In 1993 he stayed at the Montpelier Plantation and Beach Inn with his brother, Prince William, and late mother, Princess Diana.
Then in November 2016, as part of his official tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, Harry again visited Nevis, spending some time at Lovers Beach where he released baby turtles into the sea.
