The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has started the new year in style with a celebratory post on her newly activated personal Instagram.
Speculation around around whether or not Meghan Markle would return to her lifestyle roots after she and Prince Harry stepped down from royal duties, had been rife. But after fans were left wanting following an announcement of her new launch American Riviera Orchard brand, it appeared the wait might be a little longer than we’d hoped.
Having previously shared her life with her many social media followers under the handle @meghanmarkle, the account had remained dormant since 2018, when Meghan bid farewell to her popular lifestyle blog The Tig and public facing persona, to begin life as the Duchess of Sussex.
Now, as the world welcomes the start of 2025, Meghan Markle activating Instagram for the first time since deleting her personal social channels pre-wedding certainly feels like a healing moment.
The Duchess marked the occasion with a video post filmed by Prince Harry.
Shown running down a deserted beach – likely near the couple’s home in Montecito, California – Meghan is dressed in all white linen shirt and matching jeans, in a pared back ensemble fit for the coastal setting.
After heading towards the water, Meghan writes 2025 in the sand before sharing a candid smile and moving out of frame.
To the soundtrack of crashing waves, Prince Harry (presumably) then sets the camera towards the horizon before filming ends.
While no further information has been given – and comments are currently disabled – we can only hope that this means Meghan Markle is ready to begin 2025 with a new, more personalised, focus, and maybe a glass of Tignanello, or two.
