A Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly break up wasn’t on our relationships bingo card, at least, not for this year.
The news comes just a month after the couple shared a post captioned, “nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back” announcing that she and Machine Gun Kelly were expecting their first child together.
The pair have reportedly broken things off after a Thanksgiving trip to Vail, Colorado turned sour after Fox allegedly “found material on MGK’s phone that was upsetting, and it made her want him to leave the trip early,” sources told TMZ.
Megan and MGK had been working hard to keep their relationship on track in the lead up to the birth, reportedly “trying to make it work again after the pregnancy.”
“But they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting. They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”
Since news broke of their split sources have revealed despite their rocky past, Fox was completely “blindsided” by the breakup.
Per People, a someone close to the actress says “she’s been distraught” but is focusing on her pregnancy and preparing for the baby’s arrival: “it’s her priority.”
It’s not the first time a Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox break up has made headlines, but it is the first since the couple’s baby news.
After sharing their engagement with the world in January 2022, there was talk of separation after the 2023 Grammys where the pair allegedly stopped talking to each other following a disagreement.
Megan Fox fuelled the break up rumours by attending the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty without MGK, and minus her statement engagement ring.
In a book of poetry published by the actress in November 2023, Megan wrote about being “addicted” to romantic entanglements that veer on the side of toxic.

“You are an addiction / that no amount of prayers / will ever cure / my cries for relief / floating / unheard into the ether / you are killing me but my heart / won’t give you up
“my hands are bleeding / from trying to free myself / you offer me a smile / content to steal my life / knowing at least this way / no one else / will ever have me.”
Though she never explicitly spoke about the subject matter of her poems or who they were written about, it was inferred at the time that she was hinted at her complicated feelings for MGK.
A source had previously told People just prior to the trip that the couple were looking forward to the birth of their first child, with MGK reportedly not being able to “stop talking about the baby.”
“They are very excited. [Kelly is] basically telling everyone he knows,” the source said.
Adding, that Fox is “doing well” and “focused on the baby right now.”
