Ryan Gallagher – of Married At First Sight fame – is trying his hand as a Stand-Up Comedian at a totally legitimate comedy gala this weekend. Who’d have thought?!
The MAFS star will be joining beloved comedians including Becky Lucas, Lawrence Mooney, Nick Cody, Tony Martin, the Scared Weird Little Guys, at the Yarraville Laughs 5th Birthday Show on Saturday. That’s right, Melbourne comedy favourite The Yarraville Club has added the star to the line-up for the March 24th show… lucky you, if you were one of the comedy fiends who managed to score a ticket.
Ryan will be one of several TV personalities to perform at the gig, and it appears he may have been approached following an interview with The Daily Telegraph several weeks ago.
At the time of the interview, Ryan said: “I’ve always liked comedy. I want to have a go at stand-up. I don’t want to go back to what I did before. I’m not that funny, so I might have to buy some jokes.”
While he may not have performed stand-up comedy before, Ryan has become known for his quick one-liners and sarcastic tone in this season of MAFS. Not to mention, he’s really nailed a whole range of comedic expressions…
