Married At first Sight stars, Ashley Irvin and Troy Delmege’s relationship is all but confirmed as over. (If their lack of chemistry hasn’t convinced you then Troy and Carly’s very public make-out session definitely will).
Nonetheless, we still get to watch Ash and her quirky ‘husband’ until the finale and if growing buzz on the interwebs is right, it’s going to be a doozy. Apparently, flight-attendant Ashley, told passengers aboard a domestic Virgin Flight on Monday the truth about her relationship with her with the 35-year-old.
One of the passengers wrote on Facebook, “Just got on a flight with Ash! So pretty in real life!” the woman wrote alongside a selfie of the pair. “She was really friendly and happy to do photos and answer so many questions by so many people.”
Here’s where it gets interesting.
“[Ashley] said Troy didn’t apply for the show but was selected via an agency … She said they weren’t going to get rid of a main ‘character’ early, so she had to play the game.”
Does this mean that speculation the cast are just ‘acting’ is true?
It does validate Ashley’s choice to stay after this moment:
Channel Nine has declined to comment on the viral post says news.com.au, after they broke the story.
If Troy’s enthusiasm for dental hygiene translates to his enthusiasm for romance, tonight’s grand gesture might even be a proposal!
In a teaser for tonight’s episode, Ash shrieks, “Oh my God!” Covering her face with her hands in response to the big ‘surprise’.
