Married At First Sight’s final vows have officially begun, with the couple’s leaving their Sydney apartments they’ve called home for the last eight weeks.
Jessika and Dan, Jules and Cam, Ning and Mark, Martha and Michael and Heidi and Mike are taking time away from their partners for the next week to think about whether or not they want to properly commit to each other at the final vows.
Two couples made their final decision on Sunday night’s episode.
“Jules, to me, you are nothing short of perfect. And one thing I do know: fate brought us together, and for this I am so forever grateful. Jules, I’m happy that I took this chance with you and I honestly can’t imagine a day in my life without you,” Cam says. “So today just isn’t about remaining exactly as we are and committing to you beyond just today. It’s about giving you and us the moment that we missed coming into this experiment.”
“So this might be a little bit backwards. You make me so happy. Jules, will you marry me?”
“Yes, of course, I will! Oh my God,” Jules responds. “Of course I’ll stay married to you forever!”
“I’m speechless. I can’t even say anything,” she tells him.
“You don’t need to,” he says. “You didn’t need to. Because I knew as soon as you walked through there, and I saw you just then, that you are the one for me. You are the one that I love.”
“We’re getting married,” they yell in unison to the cameras. “Again!”
Dan is second-guessing his relationship with Jess and whether they’ve moved too fast, especially because he’s got his son to consider. “I don’t want to commit wholeheartedly to this if I’m not 110 per cent ready for it,” he says. Jess meets up with her sister and explains that she’s in love with Dan and wants to move to the Gold Coast to be with him, and her sister is not happy. Jess decides she’s unfazed by the lack of support.
“Dan, I feel as if mine and your meeting was a beautiful dream gifted to us from fate. From the moment I laid eyes on you I knew I had to get to know you more. Our first conversation sparked a connection so deep that I don’t think either of us could have comprehended it at the time,” Jess says. “I am so wholeheartedly, head-over-heels, unconditionally in love with you. I’m so darn excited to open up and start writing our new chapter together with you as my partner. Thank you for choosing me and thank you for letting me love you with everything that I am. I will always be blessed so long as I have you in my life and my future.”
“Jessika, I came to this experiment looking for love. I had really low hopes I would ever find the person who could challenge me, make me laugh, make me a better person and better version of myself and make me love again, because I knew I was very picky and I’ve had trouble opening up and letting people in,” Dan says. “When I started this experiment with another wife, all my feelings and doubts came to light and I was crushed. I didn’t get the butterflies and spark I was so ever chasing to find and then I met you at the first dinner party. Wow, did I get the butterflies a lot. You caught my attention from the moment I laid eyes on you Jess, and you have made me come to live in the most amazing way possible.”
