There’s not much that can surprise dedicated MAFS fans anymore, but even we can admit that when news broke of bride Stacey and groom Mikey (who is obviously not her husband), having an affair, we were a little taken aback. They’re definitely not a couple we would’ve matched…
Despite the fact that both Mikey and Hayley Vernon; one of the other brides on this year’s show, both confirmed that the pair cheated on their respective partners, soon-to-be lawyer Stacey is still denying she ever hooked up with her MAFS co-star.
Speaking on KISS FM’s The Kyle And Jackie O Show this morning, the Adelaide mother-of-two was adamant the rumours were false, insisting she has never been attracted to the 29-year-old and would never cheat on her TV husband, Michael Goonan.

“Mikey looks like my son, there’s no way,” Stacey told the radio hosts after refusing to join Michael on air.
“He is not my type. What happened was I was in Adelaide when he hooked up with Hayley and no one told me what was going on and I was all alone.
“So Mikey reached out to me and asked to get coffee because he wanted to tell me what Michael was saying about me all night. It was nothing more than that,” she insisted.
This isn’t the first time Stacey has spoken publicly about her ‘supposed affair,’ echoing a similar sentiment in a recent interview with New Idea.
“Nothing happened between Mikey Pembroke and I. No sexual relations. Nothing. I can guarantee that. And I can sit here and swear on anything.”
“I understand where the rumours came from. We did share coffee and we did hang out. I swear that Mikey and I have never shared any sexual intimacy.”

Spreading a different narrative, groom Mikey, who was originally paired with finance analyst, Natasha Spencer, confirmed in an interview with News.com.au that they slept together.
“I can confirm we did have sex, but it was clearly after Natasha and I had agreed with producers that our relationship was over, and Natasha knew we weren’t together,” Mikey said.
“I actually didn’t want this (story) out as it’s not the best way to end my time on the show, but it did happen.”
