If there was any couple we thought would make it outside of the dating experiment, it was Ivan Sarakula and Aleksandra Markovic. However, like every other relationship on this season of Married At First Sight, the perfectly matched pair were unable to keep the spark alive.

While we’re yet to see their romance unravel on the series, Aleks confirmed she’d split from the quirky real estate agent yesterday afternoon, not so subtly hinting they ended on bad terms.
Reacting to a paparazzi photo showing Aleks and her TV husband on a double date with Stacey Hampton and Michael Goonan, the now blonde reality star tore into “f**k boy” Ivan, confirming a nasty cheating scandal spelt the end of their courtship.
“I just vomited,” mum-of-two Stacey commented on the photo which was posted on the popular Instagram page, MAFS Funny.
Aleks then piped in, saying: “I’m feeling ill as well what were we thinking?”
“as if we were seen with that. Hahaha f**k sake. I blame lack of sleep,” Stacey wrote back.
“we must have been losing our minds! Or maybe just falling for the f**k boy lies and manipulation,” Aleks savagely responded.
Naturally, fans were just as disappointed things didn’t work out between the pair, however, most were furious Aleks spoiled the ending— especially since we’ve only seen their relationship go from strength to strength in recent weeks.
“Is there any point in watching anymore seeing as none of them can keep their mouths shut and keep ruining it for those of us who sorts cared a bit 🤷♀️,” one user commented on the post.
“Aren’t they all meant to have contracts so they don’t talk and comment on things and give away the whole show? Loose lips this season 😂 Making a (bigger) mockery of the whole show,” another person wrote.
“What the actual f**k is wrong with them? Why can’t they keep their mouths shut? The worst cast they’ve ever had. The most immature! This season has just been a complete shit show. Everyone has gone rogue. Pretty much know everything that happens before it happens,” a different user quipped.
“Ugh literally the worst season. This is so lame. If you’re going to go on a reality tv show that is purely created for the sake of entertaining Australia and you’re going to end up getting the media attention you sought out, the sponsored Instagram posts & parties etc then why not stick to your end of the deal and not spoil shit for everyone who invests 4 hours a week watching it for months on end, just like they would have done themselves before being participants. @channel9 and @mafs have done the shittest job this year of keeping all of the participants from spoiling the show for everyone else.
While they insisted three weeks ago that they were still together, we should’ve seen this coming. Aleks has been dropping subtle hints that we’re set to see the couple write “leave” at an upcoming commitment ceremony, telling WHO last week that she struggled getting used to Ivan’s two personalities.
“When it was just us two alone, he was amazing – I couldn’t fault him, he treated me like a princess,” she told WHO. “But in social settings, especially around other women, I felt quite degraded, like I wasn’t enough for him. I’ve told him multiple times but a leopard doesn’t change its spots.”
She also said it took some time to adjust to living with her spouse.
“For me, it was really challenging moving in together,” she told Talking Married host Shelly Horton. “I’ve never lived with a man before, so he was good actually. He did all the washing for us… he did all the domestic chores actually. I just slept all the time, it was great. So I was like, ‘Yeah, I could live with this man, this is good!’ In terms of household living together, there were no issues at all.”
However, when Ivan was shown the footage of Aleks discussing their marriage, he was less than impressed, slamming her for being “lazy.”
“I think Aleks can be a little lazy,” he commented. “But look, it’s all just starting to happen for both of us. She’s just like, ‘I’ll just couch and Netflix,’ and she said, ‘You can play with your tools.'”
“We were probably one of the only couples that actually spent every day together. Except for… Aleks likes to sleep. So she sleeps in every day, she can sleep for 14, 16 hours. I don’t know how that happens,” he continued. “So I go out for my run, go for a walk along the harbour, go to the gym, and then I come back and make a cup of coffee for her. So her mornings start with me holding a cup of coffee under her nose, and then we start our day together.”
