Phoebe and Cassie first noticed a bond after sharing a kiss during a group challenge. Cassie was still paired with Adam Farrugia, while intruder Phoebe was single.
“There’s definitely something there and we get on really well,” Cassie said during her piece-to-camera. “We just need to spend more time together.”
Former Bachelor star Megan Marx told HuffPost Australia that seeing a same-sex relationship evolve on Australia was a long time coming.
“I’ve just realised we haven’t seen a relationship actually play out on a mainstream reality show,” the 31-year-old reality star said. “There has been talk, and last season on Bachelor In Paradise we got a kiss and of course a few contestants have same-sex dated after the show, but wow, it would be awesome to see two women or two men fall head over heels in love on a reality show. Australia has been ready for a while for something like this.”
