As it turns out, the couple met the good old-fashioned way and were introduced by friends, a source told PEOPLE.
Although Liam and Maddison have only known each other short-term, they reportedly have a lot in common and their relationship is going strong.
“They have only known each other for a few weeks but are getting on great. Both being Aussies, their love for the beach and the fact that they share careers has bonded them,” the source said. “They are a very cute couple.”
Unlike his ex-wife, Miley Cyrus, Liam is taking this new romance slowly. Miley, on the other hand, has already had two whirlwind public relationships since the couple split back in August.
“It’s very new,” the source said. “Liam is taking it slow, but he’s definitely interested in her.”
Recently, the pair were seen enjoying brunch together in New York City before being photographed together in a PDA-filled outing later that evening.
