It’s hard to believe now that Kylie Jenner’s one-year-old daughter could be named anything but Stormi Webster. But, it turns out the 21-year-old billionaire had a very different name in mind originally.
Going on Instagram Live yesterday, the Kylie Cosmetics founder opened up about her naming process while Stormi sat on her lap. Kylie admits she had two other names that she preferred, but when she gave birth, she “just couldn’t imagine any other name other than Stormi.”

While she kept the top contender to herself, in case there are any future Webster’s, she did share her third choice. “I don’t think I’m ever going to name my daughter this,” she said, “but I wanted to name her Rose,” for no other reason than she just “really liked that name.”
Considering Stormi’s Kar-Jenner peers are named Chicago and True, Rose doesn’t really feel on-brand. The second name, however, is admittedly “very weird.”
“I love it. It just didn’t work for her,” Jenner said of the runner-up.
We can’t help but think if Kylie finds it “very weird”, it’s gotta be out there. We’ll be waiting with bated breath.
