After 48 hours plagued with rumours about her relationship status and supposed 2 am dates with her ex-boyfriend Tyga, Kylie Jenner has taken to Twitter to set the record straight.
ICYMI, it was reported that Kylie and her partner of two years, Travis Scott, had broken up earlier this week (the two apparently haven’t been together for a month), before further reports suggested the 22-year-old had met up with Tyga at 2am on Tuesday night – Kylie and Tyga dated from 2014 – 2017, ending their relationship just a few months before Kylie and Travis got together.
Naturally, the internet went wild – and Twitter had some pretty hilarious memes – however, overnight Kylie set the record straight, confirming she and Travis have split but that no, there’s nothing going on with her and Tyga.
“The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is. There was no ‘2am date with Tyga,’” she tweeted. “You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at.”
She added in another tweet, “Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi ‼️ our friendship and our daughter is priority.”
As for the reason behind their split, a People source says that it came down to the pair having different priorities and trust issues.
“They still have some trust issues but their problems have stemmed more from the stress of their lifestyles,” said the source, while another added, “There were several issues that made them decide to take a break. Kylie is all about family life and really wants a second baby.”
“She still has trust issues with Travis. He hasn’t been giving her the commitment that she needs,” another source noted. “Travis isn’t ready to give her all that she wants.”
