For Valentine’s Day, Ben Affleck showered Jennifer Lopez in love by sharing a video dedicated to their relationship.
While most see his adoration as sweet, others not only found the 40-second clip awkward to watch but also struggle to witness their public displays of affection.
Turns out, Lopez doesn’t mind if fans don’t see eye to eye with her and Affleck‘s public kissing parade.
Speaking on Heart FM radio, the Marry Me star revealed that she actually feels the opposite toward PDA, admitting that she’s “all about it”.
Appearing alongside her costars Owen Wilson and Maluma on the radio show, she explained that she has “no problem” with showing off her relationship for the world to see.
“I love public displays of romance,” she told the hosts. “I don’t know if I would love a proposal, I think that that’s a more intimate thing between two people. But I have no problem with PDA, like people say, I actually, I’m all about it! If you really feel it.”
As for why she believes proposals should be kept to a more private setting, Lopez called the milestone a “sacred” and “intimate” event that should be just between the two involved.
“I do think that a proposal is kind of a sacred intimate thing, that should just be between two people, when you’re about to pledge your lives to each other, that’s a big deal.”
“I think it’s always nice when it’s just making it about you, and the person you want to be with, those are those times when it’s not about like the big public thing.”
The 52-year-old musician went on to explain that PDA-filled moments should just be seen as “two people connecting”, whether that be through being in public or away from cameras to be like “regular people”.
“It’s just about two people connecting, going away taking walks, being somewhere,” she said.
“For me, being in the public eye, being somewhere where there’s not going to be a lot of cameras, where we can kind of trick the paparazzi and just have a quiet beautiful moment together.”
“We just get to be regular people and talk about life and be together and enjoy each other’s company, that to me is very romantic.”
Lopez’s take on PDA comes mere weeks after she opened up about her “second chance at love” with Ben Affleck to People magazine.
“I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him. It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance,” she told the publication.
As Bennifer fans would know, the pair dated between 2002 and 2004, even getting engaged before they officially split.
Despite the couple only reviving their romance in 2021, there’s no wonder why fans are keeping an eye out for another proposal.
