Following the launch of her skincare line, JLo Beauty, Jennifer Lopez has openly spoken about how she maintains her youth—with a tiny three-step routine, no doubt—with many convinced that she has secretly had botox or cosmetic surgery to maintain her seemingly ageless face.
And while she has always denied the claims against using plastic surgery for her enviable figure, the 51-year-old has opened up yet again about whether she has had any elective procedures.
Following a comment on her latest Instagram post, a fan claimed that the musician “definitely” undergone Botox. “But can I just mention that brows and forehead doesn’t move at all when you talk or try to express,” the user wrote in the comments section. “You definitely have Botox. And tons of it. And it’s all good. Just saying.”
Clearly quite frustrated by the claim, Lopez responded by saying:“LOL, that’s just my face!!! For the 500 millionth time…I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery, Just saying’ 🙂 Get you some JLO BEAUTY and feel beautiful in your own skin!!”
She also offered up a less expensive piece of advice. “And here is another JLo Beauty secret: try spending your time being more positive, kind, and uplifting of others don’t spend your time trying to bring others down,” she wrote. “That will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!! Sending you love.”
While there is nothing wrong with choosing to undertake cosmetic surgery, Lopez has previously come under fire from fans who claim that she has had work done, despite previously saying that she had not.
“I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing,” she told Glamour in December 2020. However, the musician hasn’t ruled out the idea completely. “I don’t want to have to go to the needles at some point. I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet. I like that I have a more natural look.”
In the end, Lopez believes that beauty is more than what the world sees on the outside, and is rather how we treat our bodies internally.
Ultimately, JLo believes beauty is more than what’s on the surface. “I think it starts first, honestly, with who you are on the inside and that shows on your face on the outside,” she said. “That’s number one.”
