For Gwyneth Paltrow, sheโs never been shy to answer questions or open up about her ex-husband Chris Martin. And now, sheโs addressed whether she has any plans to rekindle their relationship.
Commenting on an Instagram post by The Drew Barrymore Show, the post in question included a clip of Barrymore herself asking her audience whether one would entertain the idea of dating an ex.
โNone of my exes are interested and thereโs nothing there,โ Barrymore said. โTheyโre like bird carcasses. All the relationships in my past are like, thereโs nothing left, thereโs nothing to revisitโฆ Itโs like vultures flying over and theyโre like โNothing to eat here! Move along boys!โ
And in the postโs caption, it asks followers the ultimate relationship question: โWould you ever get back together with an ex?โ
While it prompted endless commenters sharing whether they would or would not, it also saw the Goop founder share her thoughts on the question, simply stating โIโm goodโ.
Thanks to Instagram account Comments By Celebs, her answer has been immortalised for the rest of time.
Currently, Paltrow is married to writer and producer Brad Falchuk. But of course, the actress boasts a lineup of some pretty A-list ex-partners. Some of her past loves include Brad Pitt, who she was engaged to in 1996; Ben Affleck, who she dated from 1997 to 2000; and most notably, Chris Martin, whom she married and โconsciously uncoupledโ in 2014.
But while Paltrow has no plans on reigniting any kind of romance with Martin, the pair are on great terms. Martin and Paltrow co-parent their two children, 17-year-old Apple and 16-year-old Moses, along with Martinโs longterm girlfriend actress, Dakota Johnson.
In fact, Paltrow not only doesnโt want to be with Martin, but sheโs even referred to him as her โbrotherโ.
โI mean, itโs funny. He was over here yesterday,โ she said on Shop Today With Jill Martin. โAnd [Apple] came through, and sheโs like, you know, sheโs taller than me now.โ
โ[Chris and I] just, like, looked at each other. We were like, โHow did this go by so quickly?โ Heโs like my brother. You know, heโs my family.โ
โI love him,โ she continued, per Today. โAnd Iโm so grateful to him for giving me these kids. It worked out wellโฆ. You know, it really did, I have to say.โ
