Gisele Bündchen is pregnant, after news broke that she and Joaquim Valente, are expecting their first child together.
“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” a source shared with People.
The couple have been together since June 2023, but were first spotted in November 2022 during a trip to Costa Rica.
The model, 44 reportedly met her Jiu-Jitsu instructor partner, Valente, 35, under a professional capacity, but the relationship soon turned into something more. In an Instagram post dated February 2022, Gisele shares just how beneficial practicing self-defence has been for her healing process.
The post reads: “I feel stronger, more confidence and empowered since I started practicing self-defence. I feel it’s an important skill for all, but specially for us women. Thank you @ValenteBrothers for being awesome teachers and for making training so much fun. I am looking forward to keep improving. Let’s go!”
Since announcing her divorce in October 22 after 13 years of marriage to NFL star Tom Brady, Bündchen has been vocal about turning her experience into a positive one.
“I have my own dreams,” she said in an interview at the time. “You want to show [the children] that. In life, you have to find real fulfillment, not living something that you’re not.” And it appears she’s doing just that.
Famously one of the most iconic Victoria’s Secret Angels, the model was notably absent from the brand’s reboot earlier this month, and with news that Gisele Bündchen is pregnant, it seems we might have an answer as to why she skipped the runway this time around.
The model’s third child will come as welcome news for her two older children, Benjamin Rein, 14 and daughter Vivian Lake, 11, who the model shares with ex-husband Brady.
