Anwar Hadid and Dua Lipa’s relationship might’ve looked like a summer romance to begin with, but over the past few months the American model and British singer have been practically inseparable, travelling back and forth between their two countries to spend time together.
Now that summer is over, the couple, who were first rumoured to be dating in June after Dua was spotted at Anwar’s birthday party, has made a serious decision about their future, deciding to both relocate to New York – where Anwar can be closer to his family and where Dua plans to finish her second album – and move in together.
A source told The Sun, “Dua and Anwar are spending all of their time together so it just made sense for them to rent this place. She’s always at his when she’s in LA and he stays with her in London, so this felt like the natural step.”
“Once she comes back with new music she will spend more time in New York so it’s good for her to have a base there and it makes sense to him because a lot of his family live there,” the source continued.
They also revealed that Dua, who was already friends with Gigi and Bella Hadid, has met the rest of Anwar’s family. “Dua visited last month and met up with his family. They really like her and she feels solid with Anwar.”
Though they haven’t spoken publicly about their romance, Dua and Anwar have posted multiple photos together on their respective social media accounts and on her 24th birthday, Dua wrote that she had been “smiling a lot recently.”
