Ellen DeGeneres’ reputation has taken countless blows recently, with endless accusations against The Ellen Show and the negative work environment behind-the-scenes.
From the toxic work environment to sexual misconduct by high-level employees, DeGeneres and her team have been under fire for contradicting their “be kind to one another” mantra.
However, despite the claims rallied against her, celebrities have started to come out in support of the comedian, sharing their positive experiences with her.

Stephen “tWitch” Boss
Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who is the set DJ of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, officially broke his silence on controversial allegations of toxicity at the talk show.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Boss said: “We can’t speak too much legally about it, but I’ll say this, there’s been love.”
He continued: “Obviously there’s some things to address, but from my standpoint and from countless others, there’s been love. I’ll just leave it at that until there’s a time where we can address more publicly,”
“There’s been love and there will continue to be love.”
Portia de Rossi
Actress Portia de Rossi is “standing by” her wife, telling followers via her Instagram: “To all our fans…we see you. Thank you for your support.” De Rossi cemented her support by posting an image in The Ellen Show‘s signature light blue and white colouring, saying: “I Stand By Ellen”.
Katy Perry
Speaking out in support of the talk show host on August 4, Katy Perry expressed how her experiences with DeGeneres have been nothing but positive.
“I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow,” she tweeted. “I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades. Sending you love & a hug, friend @TheEllenShow.”
Kris Jenner
According to The Blast, Kris Jenner has showed her support for DeGeneres by liking de Rossi’s ‘I Stand By Ellen’ Instagram post. However, she is yet to release any formal statement regarding the allegations.
Kevin Hart
Fellow comedian Kevin Hart has also gone to bat for DeGeneres, with an Instagram post defending the talk show host, posted on August 4.
“It’s crazy to see my friend go through what she’s going through publicly,” he wrote. “I’ve known Ellen for years and I can honestly say that she’s one of the dopest people on the f**king planet. She has treated my family and my team with love and respect from day one.”
Hart added: “This post is not meant to disregard the feelings of others and experiences. It’s simply to show what my experience has been with my friend. Love you for life Ellen.”
Diane Keaton
Oscar Winner Diane Keaton, who is a close friend of DeGeneres’, also lent her support, posting an image of the pair laughing, on her Instagram:
“I ALWAYS ENJOYED MY VISITS TO THE ELLEN SHOW. I’VE SEEN HOW THE AUDIENCE EXUDES HAPPINESS AND GRATITUDE. SHE GIVES BACK TO SO MANY INCLUDING ME.”
Ashton Kutcher
“I haven’t spoken with @TheEllenShow and can only speak from my own experience,” the actor tweeted. “She & her team have only treated me & my team w/ respect & kindness. She never pandered to celebrity which I always saw as a refreshing honesty. When things aren’t right she handles it and fixes.”
When someone replied, “Oh she treats billionaire A list guests well? You don’t say,” Kutcher wrote back, “1. I’m not a billionaire. 2. it extends to my team and people she didn’t even know I work with.”
Ignacio Figueras
Polo star Ignacio Figueras took to his Instagram to not only defend DeGeneres but to implore fellow celebrities to do the same, by tagging Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah and Justin Timberlake to name a few, in his lengthy post.
“Everyone loves her because that is who she is,” he wrote. “She makes the world a better place for millions of people everyday and we cannot hit her because something may have not been perfect.
“No one is perfect, and we cannot control everything. So I stand for you my friend and I challenge all the amazing people that know you and call you a friend to say who you are.”
Scooter Braun
Music manager to both Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, Scooter Braun was one of the first big names to support DeGeneres, tweeting that he believes people “love to see people fall” and describing DeGeneres as “a kind, thoughtful, courageous human being who stands for what is right and highlights on her show the best of us.”
He went on to add “I know first-hand how she helps so many when we are watching and when we are not. She isn’t about what is popular, she is about what is right. Sending love to Ellen today.”
