Brad Pitt And Son Maddox Jolie-Pitt Apparently No Longer Speak To One Another

Their relationship "continues to be non-existent"

It seems that the already strained relationship between Brad Pitt and his oldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt continues to be ‘non-existent’, since his parents’ divorce in 2016.

According to a report from Us Weekly, Pitt’s relationship with 18-year-old Maddox and 16-year-old Pax ceases to exist, with Pitt apparently never seeing his oldest son at all.

Apparently, the pair’s relationship has been in trouble since 2016 after Pitt was in an alleged altercation with Maddox during a private jet flight to Los Angeles. As a result of the incident, Angelia Jolie decided to file for divorce from Pitt.

Back in October 2019, the same publication reported that Pitt felt disappointed about the lack of contact that he has with his son, apparently saying that Maddox “hasn’t been receptive” of his efforts to mend their relationship  particularly while he has been in Los Angeles.

Last year, Maddox began college at Yonsei University in South Korea, but has returned home to Jolie, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, despite Pitt’s tarnished relationship with Maddox, he seems to be attempting to redeem his connection with Pax.

“With Maddox overseas [for college], Brad is also hopeful that Pax will also be interested in reconnecting without the influence of his older brother,” the insider said.

As the only family member to have commented on his and Pitt’s compromised relationship, Maddox remains grounded on his decision to keep his father at bay.

After being approached by paparazzi while at college last September, Maddox was asked whether Pitt would be visiting him at college, to which he replied:

“I don’t know about that, what’s happening.” Then, when the reporter questioned whether his relationship with Pitt was over for good, Maddox simple said:

“Whatever happens, happens.”
