Reflecting on a milestone birthday, Irwin told Stellar Magazine that she never stops missing her father and wishes he was still here to witness her and her brother Robert Irwinโ€™s achievements.

โ€œWhat gets to me are those moments when Iโ€™d love him to be here to share what weโ€™re doing,โ€ Bindi said. โ€œIt could be when my brother is receiving an accolade for his photography, or it might be at the end of the day when weโ€™re having dinner and laughing.

โ€œIโ€™ll think: โ€˜I wish Dad was here for this.โ€™ But heโ€™s just not there.โ€

Steve, dubbed โ€˜The Crocodile Hunterโ€™, tragically passed away at the age of 44 in 2006, after being stung by a stingray while filming a documentary in Queensland. Bindi, her mum, Terri, and brother Robert, have made sure his legacy lives on as they continue to share their love of wildlife with all of Australia and the whole world.

โ€œWe carry on as though he were still here and we treasure everything he stood for and carrying on with his important legacy,โ€ Terri told Sunrise last year.
