In the early 2000s Bec and Lleyton Hewitt swiftly became the darlings of Australian pop culture.
An instant it-couple, Bec (nee Cartwright) was frequenting our screens on Home And Away and putting out pop hits while Lleyton was taking the tennis court by storm with his iconic ‘c’mon’ celebration.
When the couple tied the knot in 2005, their status only solidified. And, when they welcomed their three children, Mia, Cruz and Ava, the country became just as enamoured with their kids.
Some two decades on from welcoming their first daughter, all three of Bec & Lleyton Hewitt’s kids look to be following in their parent’s footsteps.
Mia Hewitt Now
Bec and Lleyton’s first-born, Mia, looks to be following in the footsteps of her mum, and they’re leading her back to her old stomping ground, Summer Bay.
The 19-year-old was recently spotted on the set of Home And Away, having reportedly landed a job in the wardrobe department. Whether she’ll make the move from behind-the-scenes to on-screen star remains to be seen.
The new gig comes as Mia continues to pursue a career in the music industry, much like Bec who’s 2003 song All Seats Taken became a local hit.
Mia is one half of a “bohemian rock n roll” duo called Father’s Favourite, who frequently perform live gigs including the upcoming Tamworth Music Festival.
Cruz Hewit Now
Lleyton left quite a legacy on the tennis court but his son Cruz, 16, looks determined to live up to it.
His first foray into senior grand slam tennis came at the qualifiers for the 2025 Australian Open.
If Cruz made the cut, he would have been the youngest player to qualify for the Australian Open since his dad in 1997. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be with Cruz sadly knocked out of the competition in his match against 32-year-old former no.16, Nikoloz Basilashvili.
The family resemblance on the court was uncanny however, with Cruz adopting Lleyton’s trademark “c’mon” fist pump.
Ava Hewitt Now
The youngest of the Hewitt family, Ava, has also taken to performing and a career on screen.
The 14-year-old has had a passion for dance since a young age, even making an appearance on TV series Dancing With The Stars.
The talented dancer recently expanded her skillset with a role hosting Nick News on Nickelodeon which landed her a nomination for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award.
She also appeared in Rebel Wilson’s 2024 musical film, The Deb.
