Ashley Graham has become known for her advocacy of body positivity, but even the 32-year-old supermodel isnโt immune to insecurities. Since announcing her preganancy, Ashley has been sharing photos and videos of her ever-changing body with her followers, but is now opening up about why she first posted her stretch marks, saying she was feeling โisolatedโ and struggling to get used to her โnew body.โ
In a preview for the next episode of her new digital series, Fearless on Ellen DeGeneresโ channel EllenTube, Graham told her interviewee Taylor Hoit, โThe reason I posted that photo was because Iโd just announced I was pregnant and I thought then that I was going to feel good and I didnโt, I just felt terrible.โ
The model and designer then started crying as she continued, โThat morning, actually โ Iโm sorry,โ she said as she choked up. โI really thought to myself, โGet it together, Ashley. Thereโs other women out there that are going through the same thing as you. Why donโt you have a dialogue with them?โ
โThis is a new body Iโm walking into, why donโt I just put myself out there with this new body? I felt so isolated and so alone, so Iโve had to come into this new world of body confidence,โ she continued.
Ashley and her husband Justin Ervin announced they are expecting their first child in August and just celebrated their baby shower last week. Earlier this month, they announced that theyโre having a boy.
