Front Row Files: The Celebrities and Supermodels Spotted At NYFW

The highly sought after seats were filled by fashion’s upper echelon.

Fashion shows are a notoriously star-studded occasion. When we’re not watching the catwalk, we’re watching the celebrities situated in the prestigious front row, which is almost as entertaining as the show itself.

Cast your mind back to 2015. Yeezy’s Season 1 presentation to be exact. You may recall the iconic North West (who was only an infant at the time), stealing the show by spitting the dummy whilst seated in between two of fashion’s most influential figures – Anna Wintour and Beyoncé. Photos of the front row tantrum circulated on the internet following the event, arguably becoming the most talked about part of the evening.

New York Fashion Week is no different, with supermodels and super stars shining bright in their very (Sunday) best. Although it’s common courtesy to wear a look from the designer when sitting in the front row, the celebrities have certainly brought their own flair and sensibility to the shows.

Take the front row at Collina Strada for instance. Tommy Dorfman, who is known for her risk taking fashion choices, shone in a ruched white mini dress for their Brooklyn farm house presentation. Fellow leading lady Camila Mendes wore a fuchsia two piece set adorned with orange bows.

Somewhere across town at Dundas x Revolve, Victoria Secret models Elsa Hosk, Barbara Palvin, Alessandra Ambrosio and Australia’s own Shanina Shaik wore tightly clad, cut out dresses, putting their famous ‘Angel’ bodies on display.
