Even if you don’t have a signature scent, most of us have at least one favourite perfume; those special scents that remind us of a certain time or make us feel like we’re on top of the world.
Perfume-heads from OnBuy.com have pulled data from 517,778 fragrance lovers on perfume encyclopaedia Fragrantica, revealing some interesting facts about our fragrance preferences.
For example 60% of our favourite fragrances in 2018 are from France – including the number one for 2018 – and 20% more of this year’s new perfumes have sweet accords than in 2017.
The most popular perfume of the year so far, though? Chanel’s Coco Madameoiselle Intense.
With fruity citrus top notes of orange, lemon and lime, the middle notes of this scent are rose and jasmine sat on a base of patchouli, musk, vanilla and Tonka bean.
One thing is for sure, Chanel certainly know how to create a popular perfume.
