Last week Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their first royal tour as a family of three, confirming via Instagram that they’re taking Baby Archie Harrison to Africa. But if you thought that was the next time you would see the Duchess of Sussex, think again. Despite still being on maternity leave and excused from all official events, the 37-year-old has been out and about a lot lately – first, to attend a baseball game with Prince Harry and now, Wimbledon to support her BFF Serena Williams.
Last week Entertainment Tonight reported that Meghan was rumoured to make an appearance at the tennis tournament, where she and her sister-in-law Kate Middleton made their first public outing together, and they were spot on: today Meghan attended one of Williams’ matches wearing a white blazer and blue jeans.
The Duchess was joined by her close friends Lindsay Roth and Genevieve Hillis. Their presence in London at this time may just mean that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have chosen them to be among the godparents at baby Archie’s christening in two days.
Meghan isn’t the only royal to have attended Wimbledon this year. Yesterday, Kate Middleton watched a match wearing a regal white shirtdress.
