Another day, another rumour running wild about Meghan Markle’s wedding dress – except this one looks like it could be the real deal. Days after Victoria Beckham denied being chosen as the designer for the job, French couturier Roland Mouret may have just let slip that actually, it’s him.
Mouret, who is a close friend of the future princess and whose eponymous label is based in Britain, told the New York Post, “Meghan knows really well what she likes and the main thing with Meghan is to listen to her and work in collaboration with her,” before adding,” “I’ve already said too much.”
Sounds like someone’s been sworn to secrecy (and also like someone isn’t so good at keeping said secrets).
Mouret’s designs are favoured by red carpet regulars and high-profile brides alike, plus his signature silhouettes are perfectly in line with Markle’s style:
Other frontrunners include London-based couturier Stewart Parvin, which a British betting agency has named as the hot favourite, as well as Erdem, Roland Mouret and Alexander McQueen.
