Meghan Markle is already taking her role as a modern princess seriously embarking on her first solo charity project for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire with her mother Doria Ragland standing proudly by her side.
The Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Doria all attended a luncheon on Perk’s Field outside Kensington Palace on Thursday to celebrate the launch of the charity cookbook Together: Our Community Cookbook.
Doria, who endearingly introduced herself to guest’s as “Meg’s mum” told Baroness Gail Rebuck, chair of publisher Penguin Random House, that she was “head over heels” proud of her daughter’s achievement.
The two looked every bit the stylish mother daughter team, proving that she is every bit the supprotive and doting parent despite consistent family drama plaguing the Duchess of Sussex.
The Together: Our Community cookbook was borne out of the dark days following the Grenfell Tower fire that killed 71 people, when a group of women decided to come together and cook for their comminity post the devastation.
Meghan has been cooking with the group of women since January, and has written the forward for the cookbook calling the lead up to the launch a “labour of love”.
Meghan Markle and Doria Ragland certainly make the perfect mother-daughter team.
