According to The Mirror, Markle’s highly successful pre-Prince Harry lifestyle blog The Tig, has just received preliminary approval to get back online.

The blog (which ran for three years) was shut down mere months before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their engagement back in 2018

At the time, Markle wrote a goodbye message to the blog’s many readers.

Her full statement read: “To all my Tig friends. After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being ‘the change you wish to see in the world.’ Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.”

Prior to its closure, Markle was using The Tig, which is named after her favourite wine, to share her opinions on everything from fashion and beauty to travel, food and relationships.

The blog’s closure was met with disappointment from its many dedicated users, with some even taking the time to preserve some of its old content online.

According to The Mirror, the revamped blog will see Markle re-embrace her lifestyle blogging roots to offer tips on food, travel, fashion, the arts, design, conscious living and wellness.

We also might see the Duchess dabble in the agony aunt realm, with the outlet confirming that the information filed with the US Trademark and Patent Office detail “commentary in the field of personal relationships”.

While The Tig’s revival might come as a delightful surprise to many of its old readers, the Duchess did seem to drop a couple of hints about the platform in the Sussexes’ recent Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan

In the documentary, Markle shares how much her old lifestyle blog meant to her, stating “It wasn’t just a hobby—it became a really successful business”.

“I’ve never really been the type of person to do only one thing. I guess that’s how my website was born. There was fashion, tons of food, and travel—all the things that I loved,” Markle said.

We’re hoping that this time round, we’ll also be hearing about Markle’s family life with Prince Harry and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibett.

The Tig’s revival also means that Markle will be entering a highly competitive lifestyle space currently dominated by Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop

Considering that Paltrow’s lifestyle platform is worth around $200 million pounds (approx AUD$365 million), the blog’s revival might not be such a bad financial move for the Sussexes.

So, when can we expect to be Markle to be returning to sharing her thoughts with the internet?

It might be sooner than you expect with The Mirror confirming the site is set to go live in early March.

We can’t wait.
