On this year’s lineup of Married At First Sight contestants, there are only few lovebirds that we are rooting for. Aside from Booka and Brett, Australia has its eyes set on the ever-so-sweet Patrick and Belinda to become one of the franchise’s successful couples and potentially go the distance off-screen.
However, it was recently revealed that Belinda Vickers may have lied about her lack of ex-boyfriends.
When introduced to Australia, Belinda explained that she was searching for love simply because she had never once had a boyfriend.
And while many didn’t believe that she allegedly lied about her not-so-single past, photos have now surfaced online to prove that perhaps she wasn’t being truthful.
Pustetto explains that friends of Belinda have revealed that the pair knew each other for a long time before they began dating back in 2019, not too long before she applied for MAFS.
Spilling more tea, it was also revealed that the 29-year-old saleswoman used to frequent a Melbourne Club, Cloud 9, where she met her former flame.
According to Pustetto, Martin has also recently been allegedly charged with indecent assault for reasons that are still unknown.
“Martin was recently charged with indecent assault and he had his first court mention for the charge in January 2020. A friend said that he and Belinda didn’t break up until March 2020,” the podcast reveals.
Of course, who Belinda chose to date prior MAFS is entirely her business, however, it was the choice to supposedly lie about her past that has Australia riled up.
Either way, here’s hoping that she and Patrick manage to make things work!
Married At First Sight Australia airs tonight at 7:30pm on Channel Nine.
