When it comes to the red carpet, Margot Robbie never plays it safe. From her dazzling glitter eyeshadow to that time she rocked rule-breaking vibrant orange lids on the red carpet. The Chanel ambassador has slowly become one of the beauty world’s biggest trailblazers.
Her go-to make-up artist Pati Dubroff – who also paints the stunning faces of Priyanka Chopra and Amanda Seyfried – recently told Refinery 29: “No matter how long I get with a client, almost half the amount of time is spent prepping their skin… always. If the skin doesn’t look great, that complicated eye or bold lip won’t pop.”
The A-List MUA adds that her top tip is layer cream products for a soft, natural-looking finish. “I’ve been using the Nudestix cream products for contouring the eyes and Soleil Tan de Chanel cream for some light bronzing. Building up cream products ensures that the face will be able to handle all the bolder, more colourful features that come later, like on the eyes and lips.”
For the premiere of Once Upon A Time in Cannes, Margot complimented her chic ensemble with a modern grey hued smokey eye look. The perfect way to enhance her eyes without overwhelming her features. Notably, Pati decided not to use traditional black eyeliner – lining Margot’s waterline with a creamy nude eye pencil.
