Madeline vanished from a holiday apartment in Portugalโ€™s Praia da Luz while her parents were having dinner at a nearby restaurant on May 3, 2007.

Now, Netflix is set to reexamine the toddlerโ€™s tragic disappearance in a new true crime documentary, The Mirror reports.

Netflix will reportedly release an eight-part series that will feature interviews with key investigators from Madeleineโ€™s missing person case.

But according to the Mail Online, Madeleineโ€™s parentโ€™s, Kate and Gerry McCann, have declined to take part in the new show. The publication cites the fact that the Metropolitan Policeโ€™s Operation Grange is still underway as a likely reason why.

The documentary comes off the back of Netflixโ€™s success with other hit true crime documentaries such as and Making A Murderer and Amanda Knox.
