Jason Momoa is officially ending the speculation around his split from wife, Lisa Bonet.
At the 94th Academy Awards on March 28, Momoa was stopped on the red carpet and met with a statement about how inspiring his reunion with Bonet was for fans, which saw him quickly deny the claim and clear up any confusion.
However, the Dune star confirmed that, while he’ll always have love for her, he and Bonet are not together in any romantic way.
“We’re not back together. We’re family, you know?” he told Access Hollywood. “We have two beautiful children together. We’re not getting back together. We’re family forever.”
Back in January, Momoa shared a heartbreaking announcement that the pair had split, however, the post has since been deleted.
“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding—and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” he wrote.
“And so we share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage,” he said, adding, “We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
“The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…”
Come early March and an anonymous source, who’s reportedly close to the couple, claimed that Bonet and Momoa were trying to get back together, calling off their divorce and working on “repairing their marriage”.
“Jason moved back in with Lisa about two weeks ago and they are very much back together,” the source claimed, as per Hollywood Life.
“They decided to work on things rather than throw in the towel because they have so much invested in each other,” they said, adding, “everyone is really hoping that they can make this work this time around.”
The same source also claimed that the A-list couple have begun “living together again and working on repairing their marriage,” given their 16-year history together.
As a couple, Bonet and Momoa share two children together, 14-year-old Lola and 13-year-old Nakoa-Wolf, as well as Bonet’s daughter, actress Zoë Kravitz, whom she had with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
