The Queenโs eldest granddaughter, Zara Tindall, has revealed she suffered a second miscarriage before finally falling pregnant with her second daughter, Lena, whom she welcomed in June.
The 37-year-old royal suffered a very public miscarriage in December 2016 weeks after she and husband Mike Tindall had announced the pregnancy to the world.
The second one however was โreally early onโ which meant the royal was able to grieve the loss in private, she told The Sunday Times.
โWe had to tell everyone [of the first miscarriage] and itโs like, everyone knows โ thatโs the hardest bit,โ she told the publication.
โThatโs why I think a lot of people donโt talk about it because [a miscarriage] can happen early enough or itโs only your group of friends and your family that know.โ
Opening up about the first loss, Zara revealed because the pregnancy was โso far alongโ she had to deliver the baby.
โI think a lot of the time youโre lucky if it happens a lot earlier,โ she said.
โBecause itโs so personal to each family and every case is different, you can never compare whatโs happened or the feelings that people have gone through or the trauma. Every case is different, so I think itโs something that people donโt think you want to talk about.โ
