It’s been two years since The Vow first exposed NXIVM and its horrors to a mainstream audience. Now, part two is set to uncover even more.
Part two of the six-part documentary series The Vow is on its way to BINGE next month, with new episodes to drop on subsequent Tuesdays.
The true crime series will offer an exclusive view into NXIVM founder Keith Raniere’s innermost circle, including co-founder Nancy Salzman, with first stills and a trailer giving us a taste of what’s to come.
Read on for everything you need to know about The Vow before tuning in for yourself on BINGE when it premieres on October 18.
What happened in The Vow Part One?
The nine-part series explores the inner workings of the NXIVM sex cult, detailing its origins as a ‘self-help’ group to its sinister transition into an abusive cult.
Following the horrific claims of psychological and sexual abuse within the group, the documentary looks at how NXIVM rose to prominence and the eventual arrest of its main leaders.
This includes none other than founder Keith Raniere, who was convicted on sex trafficking, child pornography and racketeering conspiracy charges.

What can we expect from The Vow Part Two?
Set against the backdrop of the federal trial of The United States against Keith, the series follows the legal and emotional journeys of the group’s founders, supporters and defectors as new evidence and stunning revelations come to light.
As the trial takes place, federal prosecutors and defence attorneys battle with opposing views of justice in a case caught in the national spotlight.
The documentary series features exclusive phone interviews with Keith from prison and extensive access to Nancy, who examines her role in the rise of NXIVM, her relationship with Raniere and ultimately wrestles with her involvement in growing an organisation that was accused of fostering predatory behaviour and criminal activity.
“My whole company was destroyed and my whole life fell apart,” Nancy says in the trailer. “Going into this, I thought Keith was innocent. I was wrong.”
Other participants include former members Mark Vicente, Bonnie Piesse, Sarah Edmondson, Vero Jaspeado and Karen Unterreiner, and Raniere supporters Marc Elliot, Nicki Clyne, Michele Hatchette and Eduardo Asunsolo.
New York Post trial reporter Emily Saul is also featured in the documentary, as well as defence attorney Marc Agnifilo, lead prosecutor Moira Penza and psychological manipulation expert Diane Benscoter.
