Marilyn Monroe once raised eyebrows when she spoke to a magazine in 1952 about her strange eating habits.
In an interview with Pageant Magazine, which has now closed down, she revealed that unusual food combinations appealed to her.
“I have been told my eating habits are absolutely bizarre,” she said. “But I don’t think so.”
For instance, she would eat two raw eggs in milk for breakfast, and she commented, “I doubt any doctor could recommend a more nourishing breakfast for a working girl in a hurry.”
She even had her food prep and her morning routine down to an art!
“Before I take my morning shower, I start warming a cup of milk on the hot plate I keep in my hotel room. When it’s hot, I break two raw eggs into the milk, whip them up with a fork, and drink them while I’m dressing.”
She didn’t eat lunch, and her dinner would consist of broil liver, steak, or lamb with five carrots (“I must be part rabbit,” she said), followed by an ice cream sundae for dessert.
Well, to each their own when it comes to food!
